Wooden Play Food For House Corner or Play Kitchen
I was going to set up my own patterns to create wooden blocks for my nieces play kitchen set for Christmas but decided to do a search online first. I found the patterns for my blocks here: PATTERNS and the full instructions here: FULL INSTRUCTIONS.
I had my husband cut out the wooden blocks following the measurement guides listed by Vanessa at The Sewer, The Caker, The CopyCat Maker website and I sanded the blocks and rounded all the corners.
After sanding all the blocks, I painted all the pieces and let them completely dry. I then used Modge Podge to attach the labels. After allowing the labels to dry for the morning hours, I placed my first coat of Modge Podge over the entire block in the afternoon. I let the first coat dry overnight.
In the morning I placed the second coat on the blocks and in the afternoon the third coat.
They turned out extremely cute! They are all ready to adorn the shelving units, freezer, and refrigerator of the play kitchen.
