Valentines Day Heart Art Projects – I know some classes can not complete “Valentine’s Day” art projects. That is perfectly fine. That doesn’t mean you can’t do a King and Queen of Hearts Theme, or Alice in Wonderland Theme. In that case, the projects would fit perfectly well within the themes.

Mardi Gras Watercolor Masterpieces
A great way for your little Picasso’s to express themselves is by setting up a paint station during center time. You can do this by setting up paint easels or art tables.
Chanukah is an 8 day celebration within the Jewish community. A single light is lit each night on a menorah that should remain lit for at least one half hour after it gets dark.
Have the children paint a small paper plate with orange tempera paint. Let dry. Add pumpkin facial features. Fan fold 2 arms and 2 legs, glue to the backside of the plate.
The dragonflies turned out so cute! I created a pattern and then printed out copies onto regular printing paper. If I do it again for watercolor painting, I would chose to use thicker paper, such as a lightweight, but stiff construction paper. Geesh! What was I thinking? The watercolors were beautiful but they needed to dry overnight before assembling them.
Spring has sprung! The trees are getting leaves and the blossoms are just beautiful here. Time to start creating some art projects to reflect this beauty.

Have the children paint the tree with watercolors or color it. Add fingerprint leaves and glue on popcorn kernels for the blossoms.
