Potato Printing – Stamps
Make potato stamps for any art project or theme. It is rather simple to do and children can pass hours of time stamping out pictures.
How to Make Potato Stamps:
Collect your carving tools. Please keep in mind that the carving job is an adult’s job. You can ask for suggestions on items to carve.
Cut a potato in half.
Carve a simple shape into the potato.
Carve around your stamp.
Paint the stamped image with watercolors or use my homemade stamping recipe. Push the stamp to paper. This will test the stamp. If you need to, you can go back and re-carve the stamp to sharpen the image.
The stamped images turn out really cute.
