Mardi Gras Watercolor Masterpieces
A great way for your little Picasso’s to express themselves is by setting up a paint station during center time. You can do this by setting up paint easels or art tables.
To create Mardi Gras Watercolor pieces you will need to set out:
1.) Watercolor paint in purple, green and gold (yellow is fine).
2.) White paper, if you can find cotton fiber paper that has a texture the masterpieces turn out fabulous.
3.) Paint brushes
4.) Glasses of water.
This is a free art project – just have the children dab the colored paint and let them to try and have the bleeding colors make circles. It isn’t important to direct other than that. I like to tell them they are creating their own abstract art.
