After making the pumpkin pie in a bag recipe, complete the do you like pumpkin pie math graphing activity.

This activity works well with the Thanksgiving, We Are Thankful, Fall, Gardening, or Halloween Themes.

Above are all the printable pieces needed to create a wall graph.

  • Save a copy of the image. Just click on image to save it.
  • Print one copy of the image on a piece of 8.5 x 11 printer paper.

SETTING UP THE GRAPH

After the pieces are printed cut out all three pieces. Arrange the pieces on a wall. The pumpkin piece piece is the top. The yes spoon goes under it on the right and the no spoon on the left.


CUT, COLOR & LABEL THEIR SLICE OF PIE

Give each child a paper slice of pie. Have the child color, cut out and label their piece of pie with their name.

Taste test the recipe from the cooking activity pumpkin pie in a bag. Ask the children to answer yes or no to this question: Do you like pumpkin pie?

The children take turns placing their pumpkin pie slice under the correct spoon response.

Download and print a copy of the simple bar graph below to record results. If you have more than ten children print 2 copies or draw one like the graph below on additional paper.

Slip the graph into a page protector sleeve and use a dry erase marker to fill in the graph.
