Science Bugs Under Glass
This set was at our local library for story time and part of their hands on exploration for the children. I have also seen it mentioned in a few additional places and it gets pretty good reviews. So, I decided to do a little review on the product.

Frog Coloring Page or Art Pattern
Download and use this frog as a coloring page or in any art project for your pond units.
Use the link in red below to download and print the PDF file “Fish Maze” page. You can laminate the page and use it as a center activity or otherwise as a worksheet. In the coming weeks I will be adding more selections.
Download and print the turtle pattern using the red link below. You can use the pattern for simply coloring or you can have the children rip small pieces of tissue paper and glue it on, sponge paint or use water colors.
The dragonflies turned out so cute! I created a pattern and then printed out copies onto regular printing paper. If I do it again for watercolor painting, I would chose to use thicker paper, such as a lightweight, but stiff construction paper. Geesh! What was I thinking? The watercolors were beautiful but they needed to dry overnight before assembling them.
Print the patterns using the link in below in red. Laminate and mount pieces in file folder. Have the children match the correct colored M&M’s to fish.
