Use colored construction paper to trace and cut out a handprint for each child in your classroom. Cut out a turkey shaped body from brown construction paper; arrange the handprint feathers to become the fan of your classroom turkey. Add the turkey shaped body.
Print out the patterns below. Laminate the pieces for durablity. Mount the turkey pieces inside the file folder. Mount the cover onto the cover of the file folder. Glue an envelope to the back of the file folder to hold your feathers.
To play have the children count out the correct number of feathers to each turkey. If you do not want to cut the tail feathers you can also use candy corn as the tail feathers.
