Create a stick for each student in your classroom and place the sticks into a can named “helpers.” When you need to pick a student for something pick from among the sticks in the can. Transfer the choosen stick to a seperate can to house them until each child has had their turn. Then transfer each students stick back into the helper can.
Organize your classroom with a simple pocket classroom helper chart. Rotate children’s names to give them special jobs and help them feel like a special part of the classroom. A quick glance at the board will tell you and the students who is your special helper for each job.
